I was on the verge of a breakup. So I wrote this in one afternoon to try and "fix" things. It worked… for a couple weeks. It's another old song (relatively speaking). I had it completely recorded once upon a time. But something happened to the tape I was working with and it was completely erased. Broke my heart. This recording is much better though, so it all worked out.
lyrics
If I could, girl, I'd give you the world
Anything that you'd say
And I would, girl, I'd leave you alone
If you don't want me to stay
But I'll never stop thinking of you
And I'll never stop loving you
Just give us one more chance
We can save our romance
I'm so sorry for everything I've done
And it'd be worth it to me
To set you free
If it would make you happy
And it'd be worth it to you
To tell me the truth
Do you still love me?
Please let me stay
Don't turn away
What more can I say, but I love you
And I know, girl, that you'd never try
Intentionally to hurt me
And I know, girl, that we've been so strong
We can handle anything, you'll see
So let's show the world that we can last
Let's look forward and forget the past
But if you don't want to
I'll understand you
I'm so sorry for everything I've done
And it'd be worth it to me
To set you free
If it would make you happy
And it'd be worth it to you
To tell me the truth
Do you still love me?
Please let me stay
Don't turn away
What more can I say, but I love you
