From 2012, one of the more finished sounding tracks from the Monkees cover album idea. This is from 1987's "Pool It!" LP by The Monkees. And I'll always defend that album. Unlike a lot of Monkees fans, I didn't have to wait 20 years for that album. I got it for Christmas when I was 4. I can still listen to any song on that album and feel like a kid again. This is one of the songs that I used to pretend I was the one playing all of the instruments on the record. And that's exactly how I make records now, with slightly less pretending.
